From a new newsletter client...

I feel so lucky to have you working on this important project for my business. You care so much about the details and making sure everything is correct. You are just awesome! -- Rhonda E. Reagh, Ph.D., Reagh and Associates

Why choose a professional business writer?

Hire great writers. A good writer is about more than writing. Clear writing is a sign of clear thinking. Great writers know how to communicate. They make things easy to understand. They can put themselves in someone else's shoes. They know what to omit. Writing is today's currency for good ideas. -- From the bestseller Rework by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson

There's a good reason our clients keep coming back

Laima Rastikis established Rastikis Ink in 1991 as a Dayton, Ohio-based creative firm that provides business writing and marketing communications services to organizations of all kinds. Our specialties are copywriting for print and electronic media, online writing, website content optimization, grant writing, public relations and business-communication planning.

We also provide end-to-end project management, serving as creative director and partnering with great graphic designers, Web developers, printers and other experts for deliverables that hit the mark.

Over the years, much of our business has come from clients who come back project after project, year after year. The reason? They know they can rely on us for high-quality work and the strategic thinking that powers it. They trust our professionalism. And there's more...

Our clients get results

Our writing firm has teamed with clients to generate more than $45 million in grants for education, performing arts, social services and healthcare organizations in Dayton, Ohio, and around the state. We have helped to raise millions of dollars for arts facilities, education initiatives and community projects, plan and execute successful major events, market products and services, pass eight tax levies and promote brands.

With our writing and communications support, clients have achieved ambitious goals:

  • One long-term copywriting and PR client of 18 years has converted a Cold War defense facility into a business and technology park.
  • Using our copywriting and project management services, one local foundation increased donations by 100 percent in just one year.
  • One writing client won FDA approval of new, high-tech medical equipment.
  • A grant-writing client won a grant of nearly $1 million despite a complex proposal and nearly impossible deadline.

Our process takes your project from concept to deliverable

Our process is a thorough, best-practice approach that looks at six dimensions of your communication project:

    1. Your Brand Identity
What does your company do? What is your value proposition? How is it differentiated from competitors? How is your company perceived in the marketplace?
    2. Your Goals
What results do you want to achieve with the project? How does this project affect your organization’s strategic goals? Marketing goals? How can this project support those broader targets?
    3. Your Audience
Whom are you trying to attract, inform, influence? What exactly do you want them to do? What makes your audience tick? What are their priorities, problems and desires? How does your offering address their needs?
    4. Your Communication Vehicles
What’s the best way to reach your audience? Online? Publications? Social media? Direct mail? A blog? A combination?
    5. Your Plan
What’s the best way to implement your project? Who will be involved? What are the milestones? What are your deadlines?
    6. Your Measurements
What dimensions will we measure to assess our results? How will we know when we’ve been successful?
