Community Foundation for Kettering
The Challenge: The board of the Community Foundation for Kettering was looking for help to let people know about its mission and raise funds for worthwhile community projects. The foundation had been using an outdated, general information brochure created with desktop publishing software. The board felt it was time to step up the organization’s image and fundraising results with a professionally developed brochure.
The Solution: The board called on Rastikis Ink for turnkey services to provide a new brochure that would have broad appeal and attract new donors. We felt it was important to emphasize the foundation’s track record of support for local nonprofits–most of them well known in the immediate community. Also, the brochure needed an attractive, professional appearance to communicate the foundation’s credibility. We worked with a graphic design firm to create the new look and a local printer to produce the deliverable.
The Outcome: A new trifold was delivered in time for the foundation’s annual appeal. Donations increased by 100 percent in just one year.

Rhythm in Shoes
The Challenge: The board of Dayton-based Rhythm in Shoes, a dance, music and theater company rooted in American tradition, was in need of a copywriter who could present the group’s story in a fresh and interesting way while helping to raise funds.
The Solution: Laima Rastikis met with the executive committee and the company founders to learn about Rhythm in Shoes, its rich history and artistic vision. We also researched the many glowing reviews written about the company and published across the U.S. and around the world. We felt it was important to strike a chord of community pride for this creative and acclaimed performing group, the only one of its kind in the world.
The Outcome: With information from our interviews and research, we wrote copy and helped to produce a tri-fold brochure for Rhythm in Shoes. The client was more than pleased with the result.
